THIS IS OUR STORY.

Jack and I were married in 1991, a second for both.
Jack has two children from his first marriage, and I have 3 children.
We have four grandchildren.
Kyle, Hunter, Elena and Blake.

Jack was born in Missouri and was the last of three children. I was born in Illinois and was the second of eight children.

When Jack and his siblings were small, his mother remarried and the children were adopted by their new stepfather.

For various reasons, Jack didn't know much about or have much contact with his natural father.
On a visit to Missouri one year to see his mother and family, a large family tree was brought out. I was awestruck by the volume of names and dates.
Prior to this, I never had much interest in genealogy. Some time later as I was thinking about what I had seen, I realized that no family tree existed for Jack's natural father. My interest was sparked!

While at his aunt's house, she being the sister to his father, I happened to mention this and she just happened to have quite a bit of information. Thus began the "journey back in time" and I became hooked on genealogy, which was a bonus for me.

Along the way, among the various names and dates, Jack finally felt the sense of belonging. Therefore I have dedicated this work and this special page to him because he also is special in my life!

This story would not be complete if I didn't mention my daughter, Cori, who has spent countless hours answering her phone, running over here to help mom out of a jam when I first acquired a computer!

She thought she was off the hook when I finally "got it", not so. I then embarked on this wonderful adventure.

More phone calls from mom, "you've got to see what I found today, it's neat but I can't quite put these people together". More countless hours helping to decipher, while I took the credit for the end result. Then came the words, "I want to have a web site to put all this out there for others to see, just in case someone else can connect", didn't send her running.

She helped me "get off the ground", but still waits in the wings for those desperate phone calls of "help me"!

So, to Cori, my son in law Danny, my two wonderful grandsons Kyle and Hunter who had to give her up sometimes, and to Jack who was without a wife many times, I say from the bottom of my heart, you have all made this possible, thank you and I love you all!
